Sad News

I just received some sad news. Amanda Applegate (Money) has just recently passed away. She was in a tubing accident.

I added Alisa's comment into the post so the details are right here:

The funeral service for Amanda will be held Friday, January 4 at Allnutt Funeral Home, located at 650 W Drake Rd, Fort Collins, CO. There will be a gathering at 1:00 and the funeral will start at 2:30. After the service everyone will be going to Larry's house in Ft. Collins... Hope to see you there....

Amanda had a wonderful website that you all can look at; it is amandaapplegate.com . Please take a look at what a magnificent women Amanda had become!

Aunt Allison

Allison Osminer has some exciting news. Her sister-in-law had her baby on August 4th at 5:44p.m. The baby's name is Isabella Claire Osminer; she weighed 5lbs, 8ozs. Even though the little bundle came almost 5 weeks early due to mom having pre-eclampsia, they both seem to be doing well. Congratulations, Aunt Allison!

The Bowins! (Christine Frank's family)

Hello all! Here's the Bowin family update....

Andy and I have been married for almost 6 years now. We are living in Ord, Nebraska (central part of NE), where Andy is a Physical Therapist and I am a teacher. (Yay Huskers! Yes, I am STILL a fan!) We had our first son in October 2006. His name is Alexander. We are loving being parents, and can't remember what we did with all of our time before he was born. Since high school, I went to Concordia Seward, and earned my B.S. in Education. I taught for 1/2 year before beginning my Master's degree through a cohort program, again through Concordia. I earned my Master's in Education with a literacy emphasis and an ESL (English as a Second Language) endorsement. I am currently teaching Title I at my school in Sargent, Nebraska.

Andy and I moved to Ord a little over 2 years ago. We had been living in the Omaha area while he finished his doctorate program at UNMC. I taught at a small Lutheran school in the Omaha area for 2 years, and then worked in an administrative position for Head Start in Omaha for another year.

Here are a few pictures of my family:

Other Authors

Through my exploration of blogger (the engine used for this blog), I've discovered I can have multiple authors for the blog. I believe, that you need to have a gmail account to be a co-author, but that is easy to create if you don't have one. Simply go to gmail and follow the directions to sign up. If you are interested in becoming a co-author and you have a gmail account, leave a comment and I'll email you.

The Smith's Vacation in Rocky Mountain National Park

If you can call an overnight trip a vacation, then, yes, Nathan, Claudia, and Steven vacationed. They saw some great animals and had a really nice time! Hiking was limited due to Steven's young age, but they walked around a bit, nonetheless!
(See, this is the kind of stuff I'm looking for. So, bring it on!)

Reminder

Just a reminder to everyone...

This blog is supposed to be an interactive thing. Email me anything interesting (new job, new babies {Ryan, Jen}, new house, new move or any "older," but still interesting tidbits) and I can put it right on the blog. Attach a picture(s) to your email and I'll add those, too!

So far, the blog is very boring, so let's add stuff!
